How often the wall asks Jenkins for new job states. Each open wall costs the controller roughly one request per interval, so a handful of screens at five seconds is nothing, but do not point twenty televisions at a two second refresh. Progress bars are interpolated between refreshes, so they stay smooth even at longer intervals.
